NAYS BAGHAI

DIRECTOR, EDITOR, CINEMATOGRAPHER, PRODUCER

Nays Baghai is an independent filmmaker and underwater cameraman. A graduate of Australia’s national film school AFTRS, Nays has won over 20 awards for his short films. In 2020, his debut feature film Descent won the Academy Award-qualifying Sydney Film Festival. As the Creative Director of Running Cloud Productions, Nays has worked with numerous clients in both the corporate sector (Telstra, CBA, Deloitte, High Resolves) and diving industry (Rolex, Tourism Australia, DeeperBlue, Molchanovs Freediving).

EERO HEINONEN

PRODUCER, CINEMATOGRAPHER

Eero Heinonen is a musician and filmmaker born and raised in Helsinki, Finland. He has made several documentary films in short and long form, and studied a Master's Degree in producing at Australia’s national film school AFTRS. His passion is personal stories in documentary form, and previous credits include Walker, The Forest Cartel Case and Escape By Sea.

Eero is also well-known as the bassist of the alternative rock group The Rasmus; the group has toured the globe and sold several million records. 

MEHRDAD BAGHAI

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Mehrdad Baghai is an entrepreneur, strategic advisor and executive producer. He is currently the Business Director of Running Cloud Productions, and was the executive producer for the upcoming documentary Descent.

His business career has included a partnership at McKinsey, operating as the global CEO of High Resolves, and chairman of Alchemy Growth Partners. He has multiple advanced degrees from Harvard and Princeton Universities, and is a New York Times best-selling author.

KIKI BOSCH

LEAD SUBJECT, SAFETY CONSULTANT

Kiki Bosch is an ice freediver, Wim Hof Method instructor, and public speaker from the Netherlands. With a background in psychology, nutrition and scuba diving, Kiki has dived around the world in waters as cold as -3°C on a single breath without a wetsuit, and is an ambassador for DryRobe, Curms Swimwear and DiveStock.

STEFAN ANDREWS

ARCHIVAL CINEMATOGRAPHER, INTERVIEWEE

Stefan is a marine biologist and underwater videographer from South Australia. He was the 2013 recipient of the OWUSS Rolex Scholarship, and is the founder of Ocean Imaging. His films have been featured by National Geographic and the Ocean Film Festival, and he has also contributed to the hit documentaries Blue Planet II and Chasing Coral.

KAILESH REITMANS

COMPOSER

Kailesh Reitmans is a composer for film, theatre, and media, based in Sydney, Australia. With a background in classical piano, his music ranges from orchestral works to ambient synth based compositions. In 2018, Kailesh completed a Bachelor of Music from the Australian Institute of Music, and has since become a sound designer and composer for independent Australian theatre and film productions.
